Engages youth ages 9-18 in a long-term building project that teaches the value of a job well done, basic carpentry skills, logical thought and planning, as well as basic engineering and 3D Modeling skills.
Meets every Wednesday at 4:30pm during the school year.

Location: Train Club Room
Class Fee: $40 for basic building supplies
End of class will take home a 2’ X 2’ train diorama .

The long-term nature of building a model railroad runs counter to the culture of instant gratification in our society. It teaches basic engineering, 3D and spatial modeling, construction skills, as well as communication, research, logic/reasoning, and perseverance.
We provide the following:
- Teacher
- Selection of starter materials *
- Track with 2’ X 2’ railroad board for building and group presentations.
* Additional purchases may be needed for specialty supplies your child may want.
